# Pakistani Hindus

  • Nearly 800 pakistani Hindus, who were staying in Rajasthan after coming to India seeking citizenship on the grounds of religious persecution.
  • This data has been provided by Seemant lok sangathan (SLS), a group that advocates for the rights of pakistani minority migrants in India.
  • SLS chief said that once these return to Pakistan, they are used by Pakistani agencies to defame India.
  • The Union Home ministry initiated an online citizenship application process in 2018, but the portal does not accept pakistani passport that are expired.

# Rakhigarhi

  • DNA samples collected from two human skeletons unearthed at a necropolis of a Harappan era city site in Haryana have been sent out for scientific examination.
  • The outcome of this examination might tell about the ancestry and food habits of people who lived in the Rakhigarhi region thousands of years ago.
  • The skeletons of two women were found a couple of months ago at mound number 7 believed to be nearly 5000 years old.

# UAE

  • UAE minister of economy Abdulla bin Touq Al Mari will be leading a high level business delegation to India this week to discuss ways to further promote trade and investments between the two countries.
  • The visit from May 11 to 15, assumes significance as both the countries have implemented the comprehensive economic partnership agreement (CEPA) on May 1.
  • The CEPA is expected to boost bilateral trade to $100 billion in next 5 years from the current $60 billion.

# Justice Pardiwala

  • Justice Jamshed Burjor pardiwala, to be sworn in as Supreme Court Judge along with Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia on Monday.
  • He will be the sixth apex court judge from the Parsi community.
