Prime minister Narendra Modi addressed the seventh meeting of the NITI aayog governing council.
PM Modi said that the collective efforts of all the states in the spirit of cooperative federalism was the force that helped India emerge from the Covid-19 pandemic.
Telangana and Bihar chief ministers K. Chandrasekhar Rao and Nitish kumar respectively, did not participate in the meeting, which was attended by 23 chief Ministers, three lieutenant governors and two administrators and union ministers.
The governing council discussed key issues such as crop diversification and achieving self sufficiency in pulses, Oilseeds and other agricultural commodities, implementation of national education policy among others.

The Indian space research organization on Sunday said the satellites on board its maiden small satellite launch vehicle are no longer usable after the SSLV-D1 placed them in an elliptical orbit instead of a circular one.
SSLV-D1 placed the satellites into a 356*76 KM elliptical orbit instead of the 356 KM circular orbit.
The launch vehicle was carrying the Earth observation satellite (EOS-2) and the co passenger student satellite Azaadisat.

The council of scientific and industrial research (CSIR) has for the first time in its 80 years history, appointed a Woman director general.
N. kalaisevi, currently director of the CSIR – central electrochemical research Institute in Tamil Nadu, will now lead the networks of 38 laboratories and 4500 scientists all over India.

China on Sunday continued its live fire military drills in waters near Taiwan for the fourth day.
The exercises were started after Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan.
