# India-China pullback

 

 

  • India and China have undertaken disengagement from Gogra area of eastern ladakh following an agreement at the 12th round of corps commander talks.
  • This is the second friction area from which disengagement has been carried out after Pangong Tso in February.
  • The disengagement process was carried out over August 4 and 5.

 

 

 

# Maharashtra government

 

 

  • To shore up infrastructure in tier 2 and tier 3 cities and reduce the rush of job hunting in Pune and Mumbai.
  •  Maharashtra government will roll out a policy with notable incentives for the information technology sector for setting up projects in Nagpur, Amaravati, Latur, Satara and other cities.

 

 

 

# Lok sabha

 

 

  • Lok sabha managed to pass the Taxation laws (Amendment) bill, 2021 and the Central universities (Amendment) bill, 2021 without debate or discussion.
  • The Taxation bill was in consideration from the time when Late Arun jaitley was the finance minister of the country.

 

 

 

# Inter state border disputes

 

 

  • The Assam and Meghalaya governments on friday decided to start settling the “less complicated” areas of the dispute along the 884.9 km border between Assam and Meghalaya.
  • The decision were taken at a meeting between Assam Chief minister Himanta bishwa sharma and Meghalaya chief minister Comrad K. Sangwa in Guwahati.
