Pakistan has the unique distinction of hosting the most number of UNSC designated terrorists and terror organizations, and its policies are directly responsible for thousands of civilians deaths in the world, said India at the United Nations.
The government also slammed Turkiye for making unsolicited remarks on Jammu and Kashmir.
India expressed regret over a statement made by Turkiye at the UN session.
# Libya
The national minorities commission and the ministry of external affairs have facilitated the rescue and return of 12 men – mostly sikhs – who were lured with the dream of a well paying job by an agent in Dubai and then dumped as bonded labour at a construction site in Libya.
Most of the youth were the residents of Punjab.
NCM chairman Iqbal singh lalpura in a press conference on Sunday said the case brings into focus the problems of poor labourers job dwellers.
# Tamil Nadu
Tamil Nadu police have filed a case against state BJP president K Annamalai for posting alleged provocative tweets and social media statements about “unsubstantiated” allegations of attacks on migrant labourers from the North.
Administrators of Bihar BJP’s official Twitter account have also been booked in the case filed by Greater Chennai police’s cyber crime wing.
Annamalai has been accused under IPC sections 153 and 505.
# Russian oil
India’s imports of crude oil from Russia soared to a record 16 lakh barrels per day in February.
It is now higher than combined imports from Iraq and Saudi Arabia.
Russia continues to be the single largest supplier of crude oil for a fifth straight month.
