# Kashmiri pandits

  • Kashmiri pandits reacted in anger after names of 177 teachers transferred by the J&K administration on Saturday to locations deemed “safe” in Srinagar and district headquarters in Kashmir got leaked on messaging apps and social media.
  • Kashmiri pandits said instead of agreeing to their request to relocate them to Jammu, the government has made them “sitting ducks” for terrorists by making the list public.
  • People called the policy to transfer teachers a “hare brained idea”.

# Corbevax

  • Biological E limited’s Corbevax has emerged as India’s first Covid-19 vaccine to receive approval as a heterologous booster dose for those aged 18 years and above.
  • The booster dose can be administered after six months of receiving the second dose of either Covaxin Or Covishield.
  • The Hyderabad based vaccine maker conducted a multi center phase 3 placebo controlled clinical trial on 416 subjects from 18 to 80 years of age.

# University grants commission

  • With foreign and Indian institutions reaching out to partner in offering twinning programmes and dual joint degrees, and talks with some foreign universities now at advance stages for setting up campuses Gujarat international finance city (GIFT) Gandhi nagar.
  • University grants commission has set up a committee to work on regulations pertaining to recognition and equivalence of degrees obtained from foreign institutions.
  • So far the equivalence have been decided by the association of Indian universities on a case to case basis.

# Deshbhakti budget

  • To ensure that the high mast flags installed across the city by Delhi government are properly maintained Chief Minister Arvind kejriwal launched Tiranga samman samities on Saturday.
  • Kejriwal also announced the launch of ‘Har haath tiranga’ initiative under which every Delhiite will be handed over a tricolour.
