# Delhi

  • A record 7046 electric vehicles were sold in December 2022 in Delhi, which was over 16% of the total vehicle sales in the city that month.
  • Delhi had the highest share of electric vehicles in vehicle sales in December, among all states and Union Teritorries.
  • Delhi has registered 93239 e vehicles till December 31, 2022.
  • This year electric vehicle sales mark an increase of 141% than 2021.

# Green hydrogen mission

  • The central government on Wednesday approved the National green hydrogen mission with initial financial outlay of ₹19744 crore.
  • It will help India in not only reducing its carbon footprint but also saving a substantial amount of foreign exchange on import of fossil fuels in due course.
  • Unlike grey hydrogen, which uses natural gases, green hydrogen is produced by the electrolysis of water using renewable energy and thus doesn’t emit carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
  • The ministry of new and renewable energy will formulate the guidelines for implementation of the different components of the mission.

# Prasar Bharti

  • The cabinet committee on economic affairs on Wednesday approved the broadcasting infrastructure and network Development scheme for the expansion and upgradation of broadcasting infrastructure at prasar bharti.
  • The ₹2540 crore scheme will also support Prasar Bharti in undertaking expenses for content development and organization related civil work, especially to expand the reach of the public service broadcaster in border, left wing extremism affected and strategic areas.

  • Public sector banks owned National asset reconstruction company has emerged as the highest bidder for the twin SREI companies.
  • In terms of the insolvency and bankruptcy code the committee of creditors will have to meet and evaluate all bids before voting on them.
