# Vikrant aircraft carrier

 

 

  • The maiden sea trials of the indigenous aircraft carrier Vikrant have progressed very well.
  • The second phase of trials are expected to begin by october end.
  • The third phase is planned to begin in December.
  • Vikrant is expected to be delivered to the navy in April and likely to be commissioned in August 2022.

 

 

 

# Australia-India FTA

 

 

  • Australia’s trade minister Dan Tehan is confident that the stumbling blocks to an India-Australia Free trade agreements (FTA) can be negotiated.
  • The prime bone of contention is the sensitivities for both sides on dairy and agriculture sectors.
  • The two countries formally restarted negotiations for an FTA on thursday.
  • Both countries have set a target of December 2022 for a complete pact.

 

 

 

# Jal jeevan mission

 

 

  • Five crore households had been provided with water connections since the launch of jal jeevan mission in 2019.
  • Prime minister Narendra Modi said on saturday, that the tap water was now reaching every households in about 1.25 lakh villages.

 

 

 

# Reliance industries

 

 

  • Reliance industries has incorporated a new subsidiary in the UAE for trading in crude oil, petroleum products and agricultural commodities.
  • Reliance International limited (RINL) has been incorporated as a wholly owned subsidiary in Abu Dhabi global market.
