An analysis of 20 all India toppers in civil services examination 2022 shows that 60% of them are Women, 45% engineers and 40% from the humanities stream with one-fourth hailing from Uttar pradesh.
Three women Ishita Kishore, Garima Lohia, Uma Harathi N – were the top three scorers in CSE 2022, repeating the trend from last year.
Top 20 candidates represent a pan India coverage : 5 hail from UP, three each from Bihar and Delhi, two each from Haryana and J&K, one each from Kerala, Rajasthan, MP, Telangana and Assam.

The RBI has said that growth momentum in India is likely to be sustained as inflationary pressure ease.
The central bank has said that unless an El Nino event strikes – the inflation trajectory is expected to move down in the current financial year, with headline inflation edging down to 5.2% from the average level of 6.7% in the previous year.
RBI said that real GDP growth for FY24 is likely to be 6.5% with risks evenly balanced.
The easing of inflation has been attributed to the combined efforts of monetary policy actions and effective supply management.

Cricket’s cash starved associate member nations fear the proposed new international revenue distribution model, which heavily favour’s the game’s superpowers could potentially stall the growth of game.
The International cricket council has proposed a new revenue sharing model for the 2024-27 cycle to be voted on at its July board meeting in Durban.
According to sources, cricket’s financial engine India would alone claim 38.5% primarily in recognition of its contribution to the commercial revenue pot.
The 12 full members of the ICC would collectively take 88.81% with the rest distributed among 94 associate members.
