The “precaution” dose to be given to health care workers, frontline workers and those over 60 with co morbidities may not necessarily be a repeat dose, a health ministry official said on Thursday.
The national technical advisory group on Immunization (NTAGI) as well as other bodies are assessing data on the safety and efficacy of all vaccines globally for precaution dose.
Registrations for the third dose and also Covaxin for those in the 15-17 age groups is set to commence on January 1.

The armed forces special powers act (AFSPA) has been extended in Nagaland for another six months by the Union home ministry.
A Home ministry notification on Thursday said “the central government is of the opinion that the area comprising the whole of the state of Nagaland is in such a disturbed and dangerous condition that the use of armed forces in the aid of civil power is necessary.
The central government has declared the whole of Nagaland as disturbed area for a period of six months with effect from 30th December, 2021.

Sikhs for justice is a banned terrorist organization based out of United States of America.

India and Australia are expected to complete negotiations for an interim free trade agreement (FTA) soon.
This free trade agreement is aimed at boosting economic ties between the two countries.
The final agreement, which is officially dubbed as the comprehensive economic cooperation agreement, is expected to be completed by the end of 2022.
