The war in Ukraine claimed its first Indian casualty as a 21 year old student from Karnataka was killed on Tuesday in an attack by Russian forces in Ukraine’s Kharkiv city.
Other than evacuating Indian citizens from Ukraine, India is also sending humanitarian assistance for Ukraine including medical supplies, blankets etc.
The fourth round of talks between Russia and Ukraine is scheduled to happen on Wednesday.
# GST
The Gross goods and services tax (GST) revenue in February was 26% higher than the pre pandemic levels at 1.33 lakh crores, the finance ministry said.
This is the fifth time that GST revenues have crossed ₹1.3 lakh crore since its launch in July 2017.
Revenues from imports of goods were 35% higher year on year.
GST compensation cess collections crossed ₹10000 crore in a month for the first time in February.

The global semiconductor shortages continued to play spoilsport for the Indian automobile industry, with major manufacturers such as Maruti suzuki, Hyundai, Toyota and Honda reporting a drop in wholesales in February.
However,Tata motors, Mahindra and Mahindra, MG motors recorded a increase in sales.

The Russia-Ukraine conflict may disrupt the services of 80000 to 1 lakh highly qualified professionals which are working in Russia and Ukraine.
These jobs have to move to a safer location and about 70% are likely to come to India.
Ukraine is a key global delivery location for IT and engineering R&D services.
