Health minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Thursday unveiled iNCOVACC, the world’s first government approved intranasal covid-19 vaccine.
It is a primary two shot vaccine scheduled four weeks apart.
It can also be used for a booster dose for those who have earlier taken covaxin and covishield.
It has been developed by Bharat Biotech International limited in collaboration with Biotechnology industry research assistance, a PSU.
# Pakistan
The Pakistani rupee fell 9.6% against the dollar on Saturday.
This was the biggest one day drop in over two decades – in a slump that may persuade the international monetary Fund to resume lending to the country.
The drop comes a day after foreign exchange companies removed a cap on the exchange rate.
It was a key demand of the IMF as part of programme of economic reforms it has agreed on with the cash strapped South Asian nation.

The economic advisory Council to the prime minister has underlined the urgent need to rationalize the India’s list of monuments of national importance.
It also advised that the Archaeological survey of India should evolve “substantive criteria and a detailed procedure for declaring monuments to be of national importance.
The council’s January 23 report says ASI’s list of 3695 monuments of national importance have grown unwieldy.

The US economy maintained a strong pace of growth in its fourth quarter as consumers boosted spending on goods.
