# G20

  • G20 members have agreed to support India’s proposal on developing a roadmap for reform of multilateral development banks such as the world Bank.
  • Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman also claimed success in moving towards a common position on debt restructuring of developing countries.
  • These countries include Srilanka among four identified for faster resolution.
  • Meanwhile, Determined resistance from China and Russia to a reference to the war in Ukraine led to the meet of G20 finance ministers concluding here on Saturday without issuing the standard communique.

# India-Germany

  • PM Narendra Modi said he and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz agreed on the need for joint efforts to deal with the negative impact of the Ukraine conflict on the developing world.
