The extra barricades and security deployed outside the British high commission and the residence of UK’s high commissioner Allex Ellis here were removed on Wednesday.
It was in a response to the British authorities failing to prevent vandalisation of the Indian mission in London by Khalistan supporters on Sunday.
India had slammed the UK for the unacceptable indifference of London authorities to the security of Indian diplomatic premises and personnel and protested against the “absence of security” Outside the Indian mission.
Meanwhile, many khalistani supporters protested in front of the Indian high commission in London in support of the fugitive self styled radical preacher Amritpal singh.

India is one of the fastest growing research hubs in the world, but not all of that research matters.
Between 2017 and 2022, India’s research output grew by about 54%, according to research insights database SciVal.
This is more than double the global average.
The global average for research growth is at 22% between 2017 and 2022.
India research output was the fourth highest worldwide behind world leader China (4.5 million), the US (4.4 million) and the UK (1.4 million).

The US federal Reserve on Wednesday raised interest rates by a, quarter of the percentage points, but indicated it was on the verge of pausing further increases in borrowing costs amid recent turmoil in financial markets spurred by the collapse of two US banks.
The move set the US Central bank’s benchmark overnight interest rates in the 4.75-5% range.
