The Union Government on Thursday moved Supreme Court, requesting it to review and recall its November 11 order directing release of Six Rajiv Gandhi assassination case convicts.
Union Government said that Supreme Court granted remission of Sentence on the ground that the Court has erred by enlarging foreign terrorists convicted for assassination of a former PM without hearing the centre.
Union government has seeked a open Court hearing of its review petition, generally considered in chamber by judges.
The centre complained that in such an important matter, the Court did not hear the Union government and thus crucial material facts against the release could not be placed before the Court.

Terrorist Mukhtar was in frequent touch with six persons based in J&K as part of Pakistan’s ISI backed conspiracy to propagate fear by selectively highlighting the resignations of Certain Kashmiri Journalists as an outcome of the circulation of a hit list type message on the Social media.
