# Haryana

  • The supreme Court of India on Thursday set aside the Punjab and Haryana high court order staying a controversial state law which provides 75℅ reservation for local youth in private sector jobs paying less than 30000 a month.
  • Industrial associations have said that law affects the idea of India as an economic unit.
  • The Bench observed that every law passed by the legislature was presumed to be legal.
  • An order to stay on its implementation by a court of law should be reasoned and high court did not provide reasonable reasons.

# Karnataka

  • The Department of minority welfare has issued a circular to the schools that come under it to implement the Karnataka high court’s interim order on Hijab.
  • The department runs 200 Maulana azad model schools and 100 morarji desai residential schools.
  • The minority department issued circular that staff should ensure students do not wear saffron shawl and hijab or carry any religious flag into the Classroom.

# Foreign minister

# India-UAE

  • India and the United arab Emirates will sign the first ever bilateral free trade agreement between the two countries on Friday.
  • The Comprehensive Economic partnership Agreement is expected to be in focus during a virtual summit between the Prime minister Narendra Modi and Crown prince of Abu dhabi Sheikh Mohamad bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
