# Tripura

  • Manik saha has been sworn in as the Chief Minister of Tripura in Sunday.
  • He was appointed after the then Chief Minister Biplab kumar dev submit his resignation to the Governor.
  • New Chief minister Manik Saha said his cabinet will carry forward all the decisions and schemes of previous government.
  • It is speculated that former chief minister Biplab kumar Dev will be given an important responsibility in the party.

# Covid-19

  • Doctors in India as medical experts globally, graple with a mysterious spike in unexplained hepatitis in children who have tested positive for the infection.
  • A team of doctors reported that 38 (about 8%) of 475 children who covid-19 positive from April to July in 2021 developed covid-19 acquired hepatitis.
  • All of the 37 children recovered uneventfully, meaning that routine treatment for severe hepatitis was sufficient.

# NATO

  • Finland will apply for NATO membership, the country’s president, Sauli Niinisto, confirmed on Sunday.
  • Swedish prime minister Magdalena Anderson will seek support to join NATO on Monday.

# Ambuja cement

  • Adani family has entered into definitive agreement for the acquisition of Switzerland based Holcim limited’s entire stake in ambuja cements limited and ACC limited, two of India’s leading cement companies.
  • Holcim, through its subsidiaries, holds 63.19% in Ambuja cements and 54.53% in ACC.
  • This deal makes Adani the second largest cement player after ultratech cement of the Aditya birla group.
