# Supreme Court

  • A two judge bench of the Supreme Court on Thursday delivered a split verdict on the validity of the karnataka government’s circular barring students from wearing any religious clothing, including hijab, in state run schools and colleges.
  • The matter will now be sent to an at least three judge bench for further adjudication.
  • Both the judges took a diametrically opposite view on the most of the sub topics discussed during the hijab arguments.

# United Nations

  • Pakistan, which abstained from voting on the United Nations General Assembly resolution slamming Russia, raised the J&K issue in explanation of its stance.
  • Indian ambassador to UN replied to Pakistan by remanding that the entire territory of Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India.
  • Pakistan was raising the referendum issue of Russia in the context of Kashmir.

  • Suzuki motorcycles has made India a global manufacturing hub for motorcycles and scooters which are being shipped to Europe, Latin America and middle East.
  • The company is making fresh investments and hirings in the country to factor in world wide sourcing needs.
  • The company, a fully owned subsidiary of Suzuki motor corp, has long been a shadow of its illustrious car selling sibling, Maruti Suzuki.

# Russia-Iran

  • The Kyiv region of Ukraine was hit by an airstrike early on Thursday that is believed to have been delivered by so called Kamikazhi drones.
  • Russia has been deploying dozens of Iranian made drones as a part of the scaled up offensive on civilian and infrastructure targets.
