# Delimitation report

• The supreme Court did not accept an oral plea made by petitioners to stay the tabling of the final draft report of the Jammu and Kashmir delimitation commission in Parliament.
• The supreme Court on Friday directed the centre to file an affidavit responding to a challenge to the delimitation exercise undertaken in Jammu and Kashmir following the withdrawal of special status granted to the state under Article 370 and its subsequent bifurcation.
• The Court ordered the government to file its affidavit in six weeks and gave the petitioners two weeks to submit their rejoinder.
• The SC judge also asked the petitioner that why they took two years to challenge the delimitation commission after it was constituted.

# Twitter

• Tesla founder Elon musk said on Friday he was putting a temporary halt on his much anticipated $44 billion deal to buy twitter.
• Elon musk said Twitter deal is temporarily on hold pending details supporting calculations that spam/fake accounts do indeed represent less than 5% of users.

# SCO

• Counterterrorism teams from Russia, China, Pakistan and Central Asian countries will gather in Delhi on the weekend ahead of the Shanghai cooperation organization’s regional anti-terror structure meeting hosted by India from May 16 to 19.
• These are the first such official discussions to be held in India since the stand off along the Line of all control where Chinese PLA troops transgressed in 2020, and since the Russian invasion in Ukraine this year.
• India is expected to host SCO summit in 2023.

# Ukraine

• The Indian embassy in Ukraine, which was temporarily working out of Poland capital Warsaw since March 13, to return to Kyiv from May 13, the ministry of external affairs announced in New Delhi on Friday.
• India is one of the several leading nations that have ordered their diplomatic teams to return to Kyiv.
