In a significant gesture, India on Saturday supplied the first consignment of materials as part of humanitarian assistance to help the Taliban ruled afghanistan deal with the deteriorating health situation in the country.
India has not recognised the Taliban government in Afghanistan till now.
The medicines sent by India will be handed over to the representatives of WHO.
The consignment consisting of medicines and injections were sent by a special kam air flight that had flown in with 10 Indians and 94 afghan minorities.

Men in India capture 82℅ of labour income, while women earn just 18℅, according to the first ever estimates of the gender inequality in global earnings presented in the world inequality report 2022.
In a country with perfect equality between women and men, the female labour income share would be 50℅.
Among the neighbours that performed worse than India were Bhutan(17.5℅), Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan and those with a higher share were Nepal, Srilanka and China.
# Pinaka rocket launcher
Successful tests of the Pinaka extended range multi barrel rocket launcher system, area denial munitions (ADM) and indigenously developed fuses have been carried out at multiple test ranges, informed DRDO.
The DRDO said 24 rockets were fired for different ranges and warhead capabilities to meet the objectives of accuracy and consistency.
The technology of the Pinaka ER rockets was transferred by the DRDO to the industry partner for serial production.

Edible oil prices declined 8 to 10 rupees per kg in last one month mainly on the bank of lower import duties.
It may fall further 3 to 4 rupees per litre on higher domestic output of oilseeds and bearish trends in global markets.
