# Lutyens Delhi

  • Delhi BJP president Adesh Gupta on Tuesday demanded that prominent streets and lanes named after mughal rulers in Lutyens’ Delhi be renamed after the brave sons of the Country.
  • Adesh Gupta termed the current names symbol of slavery.
  • The BJP leader had recently demanded the renaming of 40 villages of Delhi on same grounds.

# Integrated battle groups

  • The army has identified a holding formation on the Western Front and a strike formation on the Northern borders to be converted into agile integrated battle groups.
  • The concept of integrated battle groups has already been test bedded by the army’s 9 corps and was later validated by the 17 mountain strike corps in its exercise.
  • Typically, each corps has about three divisions.

# Philippines

  • The son of late Philippine dictator Ferdinand Marcos cemented a landslide presidential election victory on Tuesday.
  • Ferdinand Bongbong alias marcos junior had secured over 56% of the vote.
  • Rights activists, catholic leaders and political commentators all warned against returning the marcos clan to power.

# Cotton textile exports

  • Cotton textile exports exceeded the government’s FY 22 targets to reach $15.29 billion, including raw cotton, according to provisional data available.
  • Government target was $13.6 billion.
  • Exports to countries such as Bangladesh, US, Portugal and Srilanka had seen a significant jump.
