# New labour codes

 

 

  • The new labour codes is set to be implemented soon.
  • The new labour codes will provide companies the flexibility of reducing the number of working days to four days a week.
  • There is a provision of free medical check-ups to workers through the employees state insurance corporation .
  • In new labour codes working hours can be increased from 10.5 hours to 12 hours, with one hours of rest.

 

 

 

# Tourism in Jaisalmer

 

 

  • In a unique, citizen-airline partnership, the stake holders of tourism industry in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer town, along with the district administration, have signed a memorandum of understanding with a private airline.
  • This pact will boost the tourism in the “golden city”.
  • The alliance of stakeholders, including hotel and resort owners, taxi operators, tour operators, and guide associations, has offered to reduce the airlines business risk in case of a loss.

  • The Karnataka prevention of slaughter and preservation of cattle bill, 2020 was passed by voice vote on monday.

  • The Telangana government will implement 10% reservation to EWS in education and employment.
  • The government has issued orders to this effect on monday paving the way for reservations for EWS in higher educational institutions, including private institutions.

  • This clearance has been given weeks before cancelling ECT project involving India.
  • This project is a chinese joint venture to install “hybrid renewable energy system” located in palk bay strait.
