# Vaccination drive

• The centre had said citizens in the age group of 18-44 years will have to register on the Co Win platform for vaccination.

• Central government also said that 18-44 years age group will be eligible to receive vaccines only at private facilities on payment.

• While some states have decided to lower the minimum cut off age for eligibility for free vaccination to less than 45 years.

• Rajasthan, punjab, chattisgarh, jharkhand and kerela said the roll out of vaccination for the 18-45 age groups from may 1 will be delayed.

# Covid-19 aid

• Russia is planning to fly special planes to India with a wide range of covid related assistance including oxygen generators, concentrators and medicines.

• United states also said that it will immediately deploy supplies and other assistances to India.

• The US also agreed to revoke embargo on raw materials export for covishield manufacturing.

# European union aid

• The European union is preparing rapid assistance for India as it copes with growing covid-19 crisis.

• The UK is sending 600 pieces of “vital medical equipments” to help India fight the covid-19 crisis .

• The supplies include 495 oxygen concentrators, 120 non-invasive ventillator etc.

# PM CARES fund

• The PM CARES fund has approved allocation of funds for setting up 551 pressure swing adsorption medical oxygen generation plants at public health facilities across the country.

• The fund had earlier this year allocated 201.58 crores for the installation of 162 such plants.

• An oxygen express train carrying about 70 tonnes of medical oxygen is expected to reach Delhi by monday night.

# Oxygen supply

• The Indian railways has decided to waive certain charges on “Oxygen express” trains.

• Invoking the disaster management act, the centre on sunday ordered states that all liquid oxygen including the existing stock with private plants.
