The ministry of Home affairs(MHA) has issued fresh guidelines for “surveillance, containment, and caution” in the view of the surge in covid-19 cases due to the festival season and onset of winter.
Under new guidelines, states should ensure 80% contacts of all persons found Covid 19 positive should be traced in 72 hours.
Also, MHA said that states and UTs based on their assessment of the situation, may impose “local restrictions” such as “night curfew”. However, state/UT government shall not impose any local lockdown outside the containment zones, without prior consultations with the central government.
# Kalbe sadiq
Prominent Shia preacher and scholar maulana Kalbe sadiq died on 24 november 2020 at the age of 83.
An educationalist and islamic scholar in his own right, Sadiq kalbe was also the vice president of the All India muslim personal law board (AIMPLB).
# Jallikattu
Jallikattu is India’s entry for Oscar awards.
Malyalam film Jallikattu, directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery, has been selected as India’s official entry for the best international feature film category for the 93rd Academy awards.
Jallikattu is the third malyalam film after Guru(1997), and Adaminte Makan Abu(2011) to be chosen as the country’s official entry for the oscars.
# Merger of LVB with DBC bank
The cabinet on 25th november gave the green light to the merger of troubled Lakshmi Vilas bank(LVB) with DBC bank India limited(DBIL), paving the way for lifting of restrictions placed on withdrawals from the bank.
Union Information and Broadcasting minister also said that the liability will be fixed and those who have made mistakes will be punished.

His life started from slums of Buenos Aires to leading Argentina in the FIFA world cup.
He captained Argentina to win the FIFA world cup in 1986 and the runner up in 1990.
