# Weather in Delhi

# Gurugram battles third wave
The number of cases are spiking in gurugram which reported 939 fresh cases on november 21. Jumping from 300-400 per day between october 21 and 30.
The spike in cases is mainly due to the festive rush and lifting of restrictions in different phases.
The testing has been increased from 3000 per day to an average of 6000 per day. On 22 november, 2350 Rapid antigen tests and 3656 RT-PCR tests were done.

Delhi police on sunday filed supplementary chargesheet against former JNU students accused in Delhi riots – Umar Khalid, Sharjeel Imam, and Faizan Khan under the unlawful activities prevention act (UAPA) registered in connection with north east delhi riots.
The FIR was registered under sections of UAPA, criminal conpiracy, rioting, cheating, murder, attempts to murder, arms act, and damage to public property.
# COVID vaccine news
The pune based vaccine manufacturer Serum Institute of India (SII) is expecting the results of clinical trials of the Covishield by january.
The SII said the Institute would produce 50 million to 60 million doses of the vaccine being developed by Astrazeneca and Oxford University every month from january.
According to SII the clinical trial of vaccine in India will be completed by January end. After that, the results will be submitted to the regulator i.e Drug controller general of India (DGCI) for final approval.
# Trilateral naval exercise
The second edition of the India, Thailand and Singapore trilateral naval exercise SITMEX-20, concluded in the Andaman sea on sunday.
The Indian navy deployed indigenous Anti-submarine warfare corvette INS Kamorta and missile corvette INS Karmuk for the exercise.
# Deep sea mission
India will soon launch an ambitious “Deep ocean mission” that envisages exploration of minerals, energy, and marine diversity of the under water world.
The mission which is expected to cost over 4000 crore rupees will give a boost to efforts to explore India’s vast Exclusive Economic Zone(EEZ) and continental shelf which is mostly unexplored till date.
This multi-disciplinary work will be piloted by the Ministry of earth sciences and other governmental departments like the Defense research and development organisation (DRDO), Department of Biotechnology, Indian Space research organisation (ISRO), Council of scientific and Industrial research (CSIR), will be stake holders in this mission.
