• Covaxin manufacturer has issued a guideline for its vaccine takers.

• Those with a history of allergy, fever and bleeding disorders are not advised to take the covaxin.

# Task force on marriage age

• The task force set up to take a re-look at the age of marriage for women has submitted its report to the prime minister’s office and ministry of women and child affairs.

• The chairperson of the committee is jaya jaitley.

• It is said that government is intending to increase the age of girl’s marriage to 21.

• Women’s rights activists have opposed the suggestion of raising the age of marriage citing evidence to show that such a move may be used to incarcerate young adults marrying without parent’s consent.

# New monsoon forecast model

• The Indian meterological department may introduce new monsoon models this year to better forecast changes in rainfall.

• Many times IMD fails to forecast the magnitude of rainfall and only indicate normal or above normal monsoon.

• In modern model, the climate on any particular day is simulated on supercomputers and meterologists observe the daily changing output.

• The other is the traditional statistical model that equates relationships of physical parameters, such as for instance sea temperatures, snowfall, the temperature of landmass etc with the actual observed rainfall in the past.
