In response to an Right to Information(RTI) application the office of the registrar general of India(RGI) has said that the schedule of the ” National population register” is being finalised and the information about the expected date of the of the first phase of census 2021 is not available.
It was earlier scheduled to begin on April 1. The census and NPR were scheduled to happen simultaneously between april and september but were postponed indefinitely on march 25 due to pandemic.

A ministry of Information and broadcasting order placed on record in the supreme court said sudarshan TVs – “Bindas Bol-UPSC jihad” programme is offensive and has the likelihood of promoting communal attitudes.
“Bindas Bol-UPSC jihad” accuses muslims of infiltrating the civil services with the help of funding from terror linked organisations abroad.
The ministry has “cautioned” the channel to be careful and promised “stricter penal action” in case of further violations.
# Genome survey for SARS Cov2
To better understand the Genomic variations in the strains of SARS- CoV2 in the state, the kerela govt has tied up with the CSIR institute of Genomics and integrative biology(IGIR) for a survey.
The study commissioned on november 11 will collect 100 samples from 14 districts every month, for 3 months.
The earlier pilot study had found that the virus samples sequenced from kerela belonged to the A2a clade, which is predominant in India.
