# India-Bangladesh relations

 

  • Summit level talks held between India & Bangladesh on thursday, just a day after historic Bangladesh liberation day.
  • PM Modi said in the summit that Bangladesh is a major pillar of India’s “neighbourhood first “policy.
  • The two leaders remotely launched the rail link between Chilahati (Bangladesh) and Haldibari (West bengal), which is the fifth such link between the countries.

 

 

# Industrial corridor

  • The Andhra pradesh government proposes to develop a second Japan industrial township (JIT) in chittor.
  • Chitoor is one of the nodes in the Visakhapatnam – Chennai industrial corridor.
  • According to Andhra pradesh government data, 25 Japanese companies are operating in the state.

 

 

# Indian Airforce

  • The Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) on thursday approved procurements worth 2800 crore rupees.
  • It includes six Airborne early warning & controls (AEWnC) aircraft for the airforce to be designed and developed by the DRDO.
  • These (AEWnC) systems will be mounted on Airbus A-320 aircraft which will be procured from Air India.

 

 

# Yogasana

  • Yogasana will be a competitive sport in the country.
  • This has been declared by the officials of youth affairs and sports and AYUSH ministeries.
  • This decision has been taken by central government to promote Yogasana as a competitive sport.

 

 

# Corona virus origins

  • A team of international investigators led by WHO is likely to go to china in early january.
  • This team will look into and study the origin of corona virus.
  • This is a significant step as multiple attempts has been made by China to cover up the investigation.

 

 

# Gas infrastructure in India

  • Petroleum minister Dharmendra pradhan on Thursday said that the government had planned a $60 billion investment for creating gas infrastructure in the country.
  • The gas share in energy mixture of India is expected to rise to 15% by 2030.
  • Currently, gas accounts for 6% in the country’s total energy mix.
