# Anti cow slaughter law
The karnataka prevention of slaughter and preservation of cattle ordinance, 2020 to ban slaughter of cattle, will come into effect from january 18.
The ordinance bans slaughter of cow, bulls, bullocks of all ages, besides he or she buffaloes aged below 13.
The government also framed draft rules for transportation of cattles.
# Jal shakti minister
Union minister of jal shakti Gajendra singh shekhawat has asked the CMs of Andhra pradesh and Telangana to take the initiative to submit the DPR of all new projects taken up by the government on krishna and godavari rivers.
Both the CMs had agreed to submit the DPR s of all new projects to krishna and Godavari river management boards ( KRMB and GRMB) respectively.
This provision has been constituted under the provisions of the Andhra pradesh reorganisation act.
