The Delhi police on monday said non bailable warrants (NBWs) had been issued against mumbai based advocate Nikita Jacob and her associate Shantanu Muluk.
They are to be arrested in the same “toolkit case” in which “Disha Ravi” has been arrested.
Both Nikita jacob and shantanu muluk have sought transit anticipatory bails from the bombay high court.
The toolkit is a document, which was created in which “prior action plans” about digital strikes to be conducted is mentioned.
# Fasttags
National highway authority of India has made fasttags mandatory from february 16.
Vehicles without valid fasttags will be charged double toll tax .
Nationally, already about 80-85% commuters are making payment through fasttags.
# Geospatial data policy
The government of India had made a sweeping change in country’s mapping policy.
The government has liberalised the norms of governing the acquisitions and production of geospatial norms.
This move will help boost innovation in the sector and create a level playing field for public and private entities.
Under the new guidelines, the sector will be be deregulated and aspects such as prior approvals for surveying mapping and building applications based on that have been done away with.
# Import-export
India recorded a 6.2% surge in exports in january 2021.
This is the second month in a row that outbound trade recorded positive growth after the covid-19 pandemic since 2020.
Imports also grew for the second successive month in january, rising 2%.
Non-oil and Non-gold imports recorded a sharper growth of 7.5%.
# Smartphone market
While the Indian smartphone market declined by 1.7% in 2020.
It is expected to witness high single digit growth in the current year.
The Indian smartphone market exited 2020 at 150 million units, a 1.7% year on year decline.
