# Covid-19

• India reported 1,69,899 fresh cases of covid-19 as on sunday, marking the biggest single day spike since the beginning of the pandemic last year.

• The number of vaccine doses administered in India has crossed 10 crore till sunday.

• The centre has prohibited the export of Remdesivir injection and Remdesivir Active pharmaceutical ingredients.

• Seven Indian firms produce the injection under a licensing agreement with Gilead sciences of the US.

• Fresh investments rebounded strongly in the last quarter of 2020-21 with both private sector and government backed capital spending taking off sharply for the first time in the pandemic hit year.

• The project execution ratio, which denotes actual ground level action, hit a five year high.

• New project investments in the january to march 2021 quarter hit almost 4 lakh crore, nearly 1 lakh crore or 33.4% higher than the previous quarter, according to the latest projects investments survey by projects today.
