# Vaccination drive

 

 

  • India crossed a milestone of administering 10 crore doses as on saturday.
  • The health ministry claimed that India had administered these doses within 85 days, faster than the united states 89 days and china’s 103 days.
  • Covishield manufacturer SII has said that it can manufacture 6 crore vaccine doses a month while covaxin can produce 1 crore doses a month.
  • A study has found that some people who had covid-19 lacked meaningful immunity to prevent reinfection months later.

 

 

 

# Dolphin in odisha

 

 

  • The population of dolphins in chilika lake, India’s largest brackwish water lake, and along the odisha coast has doubled this year compared with last year.
  • The wildlife wing of the state forest and environment department released the final data on the dolphin census conducted in january and february this year.
  • The highest growth has been seen in the case of humpback dolphins. Only two humpbacks were sighted in last year. However, this population grew astronomically to 281.
