# SHANGHAI COOPERATION ORGANISATION # SCO SUMMIT

 

FACTS ABOUT SCO:

Headquarters- Beijing

MEMBER COUNTRIES- Russia, China, India, Pakistan Kazakhastan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajiskistan, Uzbekistan

OBSERVER STATES: Iran, Afghanistan, Belarus, Mongolia

A virtual summit of SCO is held on 11 NOV under the chairmanship of Russia attended by the head of states of all the member countries. It is the first time prime minister Narendra Modi has attended this meeting after inclusion of India in SCO in 2017. The points of discussion were, countering extremist ideology, multilateralism in world organisations. development and security for all.

# NATIONAL GREEN TRIBUNAL # NGT

FACTS ABOUT NGT:

National Green Tribunal was created by an act of parliament called National Green Tribunal Act, 2010. It is a statutory body.

The chairperson of NGT is a retired judge, currently Adarsh Kumar Goel.

According to Central Pollution Control Board(CPCB) data, current pollution level of Delhi is above 300 PM 2.5 level (severe). so, severe+/emergency protocol can be implemented. It includes
  1. Stop entry of trucks into Delhi.
  2. stop construction activities.
  3. Introduction of odd and even scheme.
  4. Additional measures such as shutting of schools may be taken.

 

# DONORS LIST

  1. A list published by Edelgive Hurun India Philanthropy.
  2. Azim Premji is the most generous donor in 2019-20 with donations amounting to 7904 crore rupees.
  3. Mr Nadar, the HCL founder is second with 795 crore rupees of donations. He was at the top last year.
  4. Mukesh Ambani, CMD of reliance is third with 458 crore rupees.

 

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced that by March 2021, all the bank accounts must be linked with Aadhar.
