# Biparjoy

  • Cyclone Biparjoy moved out of the battered North Gujarat on Friday evening, leaving large swathes in Kutch and Saurashtra flodded.
  • Many roads remained unapproachable due to sludge and it may take several days before the rain stops and situation approaches normalcy.
  • Two deaths were reported although government claimed no death happened due to timely evacuation.

# Museum

  • The Nehru memorial Museum and library society in a special meeting decided to drop the reference to former prime minister Jawahar lal Nehru from its name and rechristen the institution Prime Minister’s museum and library society.
  • The move triggered criticism and allegations of vendetta politics from Congress.
  • Heading the meeting home minister Rajnath Singh said, also the society’s vice president, welcomed the proposal for the change in name since it exhibited the the contributions of all PM’s from Nehru to Modi.
