Overnight violence has erupted in Manipur to resist any attempt by the government to include the majority meitei community in the scheduled tribe list.
Manipur authority had to call out the army at midnight to control the situation.
In addition, mobile internet, broadband services have been suspended in the state.
Over 9000 people have been evacuated from the violence hit areas.

The patna high court on Thursday clamped an interim stay on the ongoing bihar survey, terming the exercise virtually a census by another name.
High court has dubbed it prima facie unconstitutional as it impinges on the legislative powers of the parliament.
The next hearing of the case will happen on July 3.
Census is defined as collection of empirical facts about individuals and survey as collection of opinion and perceptions of the general public.
