The current Covid 19 surge in the country is appeared to have peaked, with cases in the last seven days down 27% as compared to previous week.
There was a slight decline in the deaths from the virus, with toll in 7 days falling to 131, from 160 in previous week.
Kerala has been reporting the highest number of cases at 11726.
Kerala was followed by Haryana, Maharashtra and Uttar pradesh.

The Sudanese army said in a statement on Sunday that it has agreed to extend the truce with paramilitary RSF for a period of 72 hours.
The RSF too has agreed to extend the ceasefire.

India and Russia will explore the possibility of accepting Rupay and Mir cards in each other’s country for hassle free payments amid sanctions imposed by the West on Moscow.
In a recent high level Intergovernmental commercial meeting, it was agreed to explore the opportunities of allowing acceptance of these cards.
It was also agreed to look at adopting the Russian financial messaging system.
