Atleast 10 men of the District reserve guards (DRG) of Chhattisgarh police and their civilian driver were killed on Wednesday when maoists detonated a powerful IED on a road and fired at wounded cops in Dantewada district of Bastar.
A large team of around 200 DRG men were moving in a convoy of MUV’s, spaced 150 metres apart.
Police believe 50 Kg of explosives was packed into the IED that created a crater 12 feet deep and around 25 feet across.
This is the biggest maoist attack since ab ambush in Bijapur killed 22 security personnel and wounded 30 on April 3,2021.

Maruti Suzuki has started work on a ₹24000 crore investment plan to set up a 10 lakh per annum production factory that would come outside Haryana.
The company is setting up another 10 lakh annual production factory at Kharkhoda (Sonipat) Haryana.
The company is targeting to begin the first batch of production at Sonipat from 2025 with 2.5 lakh cars per annum.

India and the four nation bloc EFTA on Wednesday discussed ways to resume negotiations with the free trade agreement with a view of strengthening economic ties between the two regions.
The subject came up for discussion during a meeting of high level representatives from India and the European free trade association states which includes Ireland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland.
The free trade agreement between the two regions are officially dubbed as Tepa.

Washington State approved a package of gun control measures on Tuesday that includes a ban on the sale of military style semi automatic weapons.
Washington became the ninth state to prevent the distribution of AR-15s and other powerful rifles often used in mass shootings.
