In a decision that will help lakhs of youths overcome the language barrier to their aspirations of joining the Central Armed Police Forces, the home ministry on Saturday approved conduct of the recruitment examination for constable in 13 regional languages, other than Hindi and English.
The additional 13 regional languages in which aspirants can take the constable recruitment tests are Assamese, Bengali, Gujrati, Marathi, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Odia, Urdu, Punjabi, Manipuri and Konkani.
There are 50 lakh aspirants countrywide for 50187 posts advised for 2023.
The MHA and staff selection commission conducts the computer based recruitment test for constable.

This data has been published in the BMJ global health, an open access, peer reviewed journal that publishes research on all aspects of global health.
The WHO receives financial contribution in two main forms : access contribution and voluntary contribution.
# Kerala
The largest contingent so far of over 4000 women is preparing to travel for Haj without Mehram (male companion) with the first flight expected to leave on May 21.
Over 2800 of these women are from Kerala.
Of the 1.4 lakh pilgrims who will be travelling through the Haj committee of India quota, overall there are over 66000 women pilgrims.
The data shows in 2018, 1171 women went for Haj without Mehram.
