# India-Australia

  • India is at the heart of Australia’s approach to the crucial indo Pacific and beyond, with both countries sharing an unwavering commitment to uphold the rules based international order and ensure the region is open, inclusive and prosperous, Australian PM Anthony Albanese said on Thursday.
  • Albanese’s comments, during his visit to indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant anchored off mumbai, underline the rapidly growing strategic clinch between India and Australia in the face of China’s Economic and military muscle flexing in the entire Indo Pacific region.
  • Albanese also formally announced Australia will host the quadrilateral malabar naval exercise for the first time this year.

# WHO

  • The world is off track to achieve its global target of reducing sodium intake by 30% by 2025.
  • It is a first of its kind world Health Organization global report on sodium intake reduction shows sodium is a key component of the common salts we consume daily.
  • The report shows that, most countries including India are yet to adopt any mandatory sodium reduction policies, which the UN health body says puts people at risk of heart attack, stroke and other problems.
  • WHO recommends several sodium related best buys policies as practical actions that should be undertaken immediately to prevent cardiovascular diseases and its associated costs.

# El nino

  • In an adverse signal for this year’s monsoon in India, US government weather agencies have for the third month running, reiterated the possibility of El Nino conditions developing in late summer this year.
  • The March update of US agencies linked to the national Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration on conditions in the Pacific oceans, released late Thursday, reiterates the model projections of the previous two months on the possibility of an El Nino forming around July August this year.
  • El Nino is an abnormal warming of Surface ocean currents in the east and Central equatorial Pacific that corresponds with changes in Wind flows, affecting weather patterns across many regions of the globe.

# Campa cola

  • Reliance consumer products, which is part of the reliance group, has reintroduced campa cola and is hoping to eat into pepsi’s and coca cola’s market share with attractive pricing this Summer.
  • Campa cola, which is now part of Mukesh Ambani’s refinery to grocery Conglomerate, will also come in lemon and orange flavours and will be initially available in Andhra pradesh and Telangana with a national roll out planned in the coming months.
