# Ladakh

  • India has started building a strategic road along the line of actual control in Eastern Ladakh that will, in the most part, trace the Indus and mirror a blacktop surface link on the Chinese side.
  • The road will plug a vital gap in connectivity between the strategically important Chushul South of Pangong Tso and Demchok in Eastern Ladakh, a distance of about 135 KM along the LAC.
  • Border roads organization kicked off the groundwork on Republic day and expects to complete the project in two years.

# Amrit udyan

  • The iconic mughal gardens in Rashtrapati bhawan will henceforth be called ‘Amrit udyan’ and would be open for the public from January 31.
  • On the occasion of the celebrations of 75 years of independence as ‘Azadi ka amrit mahotsav’, the president has given a common name to the Rashtrapati bhawan gardens as amrit udyan.
  • The garden was set up in 1928 by the British.

# Aviation gasoline

  • Amid an impending Western ban on fuel from Russia, India on Saturday turned from a net importer to an exporter of aviation gasoline which is also called AV gas.
  • AV gas powers unmanned aerial vehicles and piston engine aircraft used by flying schools.
  • State run Indian oil exported the first consignment of 80 barrels of AV gas to papua new Guinea from Mumbai’s Jawahar lal Nehru port.
  • AV gas has an estimated market of $2.7 billion.

  • The House foreign affairs Committee will hold a vote next on a bill to completely block the platform.
