# Olympics

• India will bid for hosting the Olympic Games in 2036.
• A roadmap will be presented before the full members of the International olympic committee during the IOC session in Mumbai in September 2023.
• Union sports minister Anuraag Thakur said the government would back the Indian olympic association’s bid for hosting the games.
• He said with India having previously hosted the 1982 Asian Games and 2010 Commonwealth Games, the next logical pitstop was the summer Olympics.

# Maharashtra

• Days after the Karnataka legislature cleared a resolution on the inter state border dispute saying it would not give an inch of land to Maharashtra, both houses of Maharashtra legislature on Tuesday unanimously passed a resolution to legally pursue including of 865 marathi speaking villages and its citizens into the state and make all out efforts to contest the ongoing case in Supreme Court.
• Among the villages to be included in Maharashtra are Belagavi, Karwar, Bidar, Balki and Nipani.
• The resolution also requested Karnataka government to abide by terms and conditions finalised during a meeting of its CM bassavaraj Bommai with Eknath shinde and Devendra fadnavis with Union Home minister Amit shah.

# Assam

• More than 21 months after the government acknowledging a legal anomaly, took out four North Eastern States from the purview of the Delimitation commission it had set up in 2020 to carry out Delimitation of parliamentary and assembly constituencies in J&K, Assam, Arunachal pradesh, Manipur and Nagaland, the election Commission has now initiated Delimitation of seats in Assam based on 2001 census.
• The Delimitation was last carried out in 1976 on the basis of 1971 census.

# Bharat biotech

• Bharat biotech’s intranasal covid-19 vaccine iNCOVACC will be priced at ₹800 per dose in private markets and at ₹325 per dose for procurement by central and state governments.
• Bharat biotech said INCOVACC will be rolled out in fourth week of January 2023 as booster dose.
