# United Kingdom

  • Fugitive diamond billionaire Nirav Modi on Thursday lost all legal options in UK courts and could be extradited to India within 28 days.
  • The last way to escape it if he manages to get an emergency injunction from the European Court of human rights or if he has applied for British asylum.
  • A London high court judge dismissed Nirav Modi’s application to appeal his extradition to India in the Supreme Court.
  • His extradition could end a riveting drama since he fled India since the PNB case.

  • In the two pronged strategic signalling to China on Thursday, India tested its nuclear capable missile Agni V with over 5000KM range.
  • At the same time, IAF started a drill with front line fighters like Rafales and Sukhoi’s to fine tune combat Readiness in the Eastern sector.
  • The strategic forces command in collaboration with DRDO conducted the test of the over 5000 KM range Agni V ballistic missile.
  • Agni V missile brings even the northern most part of China within its strike envelope.

  • A grammatical problem which has defeated sanskrit scholars since the 5th century BC has finally been solved by an Indian phD student at the university of Cambridge.
  • Rishi Rajpopat made the breakthrough by decoding a rule taught by Panini, known as the father of linguistics.
  • The 2500 year old algorithm decoded by him makes it possible for the first time, to accurately use Panini’s so called language machine.

  • Twitter on Wednesday suspended over 25 accounts that tracks the planes of government agencies, billionaires and high profile individuals.
  • Jack Sweeney, a 20 year old college student and flight tracking enthusiast, who had a twitter account by name @Elonjet has also been suspended.
