Extending heartfelt condolences to victims of the floods in Pakistan, prime minister Narendra Modi on Monday said he was saddened by the crisis.
On the same day, finance minister of Pakistan said he could consider reopening trade routes with India.
Speaking to the media in Islamabad, Pakistan’s finance minister Mifta Ismail said that the given extent of the calamity, the Pakistani government could consider reversing its three year old ban on trade with India and open the trade routes for vegetables and other essential commodities.

Violent crimes such as rape, kidnapping, attrocities against children and Roberries registered across India increased in 2021, after the pandemic related restrictions led to a decline in these severe offences in 2020.
Murders, which did not come down even in 2020, continued to increase in 2021 too, according to data from National crime records bureau.
The number of registered rape cases increased from 28046 in 2020 to 31677 in 2021, closer to the 2019 figure of 32032.
The number of overall registered cognizable crimes decreased from 66 lakhs in 2020 to 60.9 lakh in 2021, a 7.6% fall.

The national capital recorded the highest number of rape cases among all 19 metropolitan cities with an average of three rapes being reported every day of the last year.
For the third consecutive year, Delhi topped the list of crimes against women among all the metropolitan cities.
In 2021, crimes against women rose by 40% over the previous year, with 1226 incidents of rapes and 136 incidents of dowry deaths.

An engine problem forced NASA on Monday to postpone for atleast four days the launch of its colossal next generation rocket ship on a long awaited debut test flight around the moon and back 50 years after Appolo’s last lunar mission.
The countdown was halted about 40 minutes before launch time.
