• The MVA government led by Uddhav Thackeray stayed shaky on Thursday as the ranks of the dissidents swelled and 37 rebel shiv sena MLAs camping in Guwahati sent a letter to Maharashtra assembly’s deputy speaker to retain Eknath shinde as the legislator head of Shiv sena.
• Meanwhile, deputy speaker has approved appointment of Ajay chaudhary as group leader of the Sena legislature party replacing Shinde.
• The Shinde group needs 37 MLAs to circumvent the anti defection law.
• Reports say, the number of rebel sena MLAs has reached the 37 mark.

• Large swords some close to 4 feet long and arms that had sharp, sophisticated shapes like starfish have been found in UP’s Mainpuri.
• These items are about 4000 years old and contemporary of Harappan civilisation.
• These items are believed to be of Ganga valley civilisation.
• Experts say these items belong to the chalcolithic age, roughly 4000 years old.

# Afghanistan

• Following a visit by an Indian delegation to Afghanistan earlier this month, the government announced on Thursday the deployment of a technical team in Indian embassy in Kabul.
• The embassy will ensure effective delivery of humanitarian assistance India is providing to Taliban ruled country.
• The deployment marks the return of Indian diplomats to the embassy in Kabul for the first time since the government withdrew all Indian diplomats and other staff members after the Taliban took over the Kabul on 15th August.
