The government has decided to recruit 10 lakh people in Central government departments and ministries on mission mode by December 2023.
PM Narendra Modi reviewed the status of human resources in all departments and ministries and instructed that recruitment of 10 lakh people be done by the government in mission mode in next five years.
Nearly 70% of the hiring will be done by the home ministry in Paramilitary and police forces, railway ministry for technical and non technical staff, education and health ministries for faculty and non faculty staff postal department and the health ministry.
The government on Tuesday also announced the ‘agnipath scheme’ to recruit soldiers for four years.
# Inflation
Wholesale price inflation soared to a record high in may on the back of surging food and fuel prices.
Latest data showed inflation, as measured by the wholesale price index, rose an annual 15.9% in May, higher than 15.1% in April and above 13.1% recorded in May 2021.
