# Maldives

  • Maldivian president Ibrahim Mohammed Solih on Thursday issued a decree banning the ‘India out’ campaign.
  • ‘India out’ campaign has been led by former president Abdullah yameen.
  • Presidential order said the campaign against India exploited the freedom and intends to disrupt the long standing bilateral relations between the Maldives and India.
  • ‘India Out’ campaign accuses the Maldivian government of allowing Indian military presence in the Island nation, which the government has repeatedly denied.

# Prime minister’s museum

  • The Nehru memorial Museum and library on Thursday opened its doors to the public as the Prime minister’s museum dedicated to all former prime ministers.
  • The residence of India’s first prime Minister Jawahar lal Nehru for 16 years was converted into a memorial, Teen murti bhawan, after his death in 1964.
  • This newly furbished Prime Minister’s museum was inaugurated by PM Modi on April 14.

# Guru Teg bahadur

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday released a commemorative coin and postage stamp to mark the 400th birth anniversary of Guru teg bahadur.
  • PM Modi also recalled the sacrifice of the ninth sikh guru in protecting culture.
  • Guru teg bahadur was executed in the nearby Chandni chowk, while the order for his beheading was issued from the red fort by Aurangzeb.

# Human-animal conflict

  • The environment ministry must constitute an advisory Committee of experts to tackle growing instances of human animal conflict according to a report by the standing Committee on science, environment and climate change headed by Rajya sabha member Jairam Ramesh.
  • The report analyses the wildlife (protection) amendment Bill, 2021 tabled in the loksabha in December 2021.
