# Jammu and Kashmir

  • The Jammu and Kashmir delimitation commission has come out with a fresh interim report proposing the redrawing of many assembly and the lone lok sabha constituencies in Kashmir.
  • The proposal includes allocating one more assembly seat to Kashmir division and six more seats to Jammu division.
  • The panel has shared the report with its associate members, including it’s associate members which includes three MPs of the national Conference and two of BJP.

# Sariska tiger reserve

  • The measures for habitat management for tigers launched about six months ago at the famous Sariska tiger reserve in Rajasthan’s alwar district have started earning fruit.
  • The tiger population in the wildlife Sanctuary has gone upto 25.
  • The tiger reserve spread across 1216 square kilometre, witnessed one of its kind tiger relocation from the ranthambhore national park by helicopter in 2008 to sariska tiger reserve.

# Manipur

  • The manipur congress has promised to repeal the Armed forces special power act of 1958 if voted back to power in Manipur.
  • The grand old party has also vowed to ensure one third reservation for women in all government jobs and create 50000 new jobs every year for youth.
  • The party has also set a target to make Manipur self reliant in rice production and promote multiple cropping from 2022-2027.

# Iran

  • The US state Department is waving sanctions on Iran’s civil nuclear programme in a technical step necessary to return to the 2015 nuclear agreement.
  • The waiver that are resumed were ended by Donald Trump administration in 2020.
  • The waiver allows other countries and companies to participate in Iran’s civil nuclear programme.
