# vaccination policy

  • Health ministry said that teenagers aged 15 to 17 will be administered only covaxin from January 3.
  • Health workers and frontline workers who have received two doses would be eligible for a precautionary dose from January 10, after a gap atleast 39 weeks since the second dose.
  • According to health ministry, those born in 2007 or earlier will be able to register on Cowin from January 3.

# Missionaries of Charity

  • The Union home ministry said on Monday that it had refused to renew the FCRA registration of missionaries of charity (MOC), a catholic religious congregation set up by the Nobel laureate Mother Teresa.
  • The reason for refusal of application are some adverse inputs into the application submitted.
  • The foreign contributions regulations act (FCRA) registration is mandatory for any NGO or association to receive foreign funds or donations.
  • This organization has more than 250 accounts across the country to utilize the foreign funds.

# NITI aayog

  • For the fourth year in a row, Kerela has topped the ranking of states on health indicator.
  • The UP has come in at the bottom.
  • The health index is the part of a report commissioned by the NITI aayog, the world Bank and the Union health and family welfare ministry.
  • Kerela is followed by Tamil nadu and Telangana.

# Jammu and Kashmir

  • The centre and administration of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday decided to open real estate in the Union territory for the second homes and summer homes to all Indian citizens.
  • According to an official Summit document at the first J&K real estate conference in Jammu, the UT has become a promising yet untapped destination for the next wave of growth and prosperity.

# Deputy NSA

  • Vikram Misri, who returned to India last week after completing his term as ambassador to China, has been appointed deputy NSA of India.
  • Mr. misri will take over on January 1 after current deputy NSA Pankaj saran retires.
