# Kashi vishwanath corridor

  • After a dip in the ganga and rituals inside the temple, Prime minister Narendra Modi on Monday inaugurated the Kashi vishwanath corridor.
  • Kashi vishwanath corridor connects the temple to the banks of holy river ganga.
  • PM Modi called it a symbol of sanatan culture of India.

# Inflation

  • India’s retail inflation hardened for the second month in a row in November touching 4.91℅ from 4.48℅ recorded in October.
  • Vegetables inflation jumped 7.45℅ from the previous month.
  • Transport and communication inflation eased only marginally to 10.02℅ in November from 10.9℅ in October.

# Anti conversion law

  • Karnataka is likely to insist that a person who wishes to convert to another religion must file an application before the deputy commissioner two months in advance.
  • The approval from the official will be made mandatory.
  • Further, the person, who wishes to convert to another religion but receiving reservation benefits in the religion that he is practicing, will stand to lose that benefit and receive the benefit as per the religion he/she converted to.

# Republic Day 2021

  • India is awaiting responses from leaders of five central Asian nations to an invitation to attend as chief guests of Republic day.
  • The details are expected to be finalised during a ministerial level meeting of the India-central Asia foreign minister’s dialogue.
  • The India-central Asia dialogue was launched in 2019.

# Miss universe 2021

  • Punjab’s Harnaaz sandhu on Monday won the miss Universe 2021 paegeant, beating contestants from 79 countries to bring the title back to India after 21 years.
  • The 70th edition of the event was held in Israel’s resort city of Eilat.
