Gross goods and services tax (GST) revenues in August fell to 1.12 lakh crore from 1.16 lakh crore collected the previous month.
The revenues for August 2021 are 30% higher than the GST revenues in the same month last year.
The GST collections had fallen below the 1 lakh crore mark in June due to the second covid-19 wave after a nine month streak.

A contingent of 200 army personnel will participate in the multinational exercise ZAPAD 2021 being held had Nizhniy Russia from September 3 to 16.
17 countries are invited for the exercise, there are nine participating countries and eight observers including China and Pakistan.
ZAPAD 2021 is one of the theatre level exercises of Russian armed forces and will focus primarily on operations against terrorists.
