# Delhi

 

 

  • Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday said that the capital is now on top of a list of cities across the world on the number of CCTVs installed per square miles.
  • Delhi has 1826 CCTVs installed per square miles, which is three times higher than Chennai and three times higher than Mumbai.
  • Delhi has surpassed cities like London, Shanghai and New york to rank number one across the globe.

 

 

 

# Drone rules

 

 

  • The civil aviation ministry has notified the drone rules, 2021.
  • Under this, the weight of a fully loaded unmanned aircraft system has been increased from 300 kg to 500 kg to include heavy payload carrying craft for use in the logistics and transportation sectors.
  • The rules will also cover drone taxis.

 

 

 

# Maldives

 

 

  • The contract for the largest ever infrastructure project in the maldives was signed in Male on Thursday.
  • The greater male connectivity project (GMP) will consist of a 6.74 km long bridge and causeway link between male and other islands.
  • Indian construction giant AFCONS has been tasked with completing the project.
